starting to stitch together "A Hill ..."

Current thinking (after counsel thought I was too timid, trying to
disguise "Challenges" as not-an-attack, when that's totally what it
is) is that I need to finish the Whole Dumb Story. But you know—it's
mostly already written! I have 20,000 words of scraps and notes (that
got cut from "Sexual Dimorphism" when I ran out of endurance); now I
mostly just need to stitch them together.
